This Service provides customers with reliable and efficient DNS hosting and email filtering and hosting facilities. SafeNZ operates DNS servers in various locations in New Zealand to ensure network continuity incase of unforeseen facility or network failures. SafeNZ also operates redundant high performance 'smarthost' servers that effectively scan email for viruses, spam and other undesirable content. SafeNZ smarthost servers maintain greater than 99% effectiveness in removing spam.

Email forwarding can be customized to customer specifications, for example email can be scanned and forwarded to a customers own SMTP server(s), or can be sent to SafeNZ's POP servers for direct retrieval by the customer. SafeNZ POP accounts can be accessed via a POP capable client from any ISP or via a fully SSL secured (256 bit) webmail interface. POP and SMTP can be optionally used with SSL encryption (256bit) and SMTP authentication to allow fully secure email send/receive even when not connected directly to the SafeNZ network.
